We follow the catechetical guidelines provided by the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Our chaplain offers mass once a month and we hold daily prayer during “community time” every morning, a 15-minute break in classes complimented with a snack. Our diverse student body also shares their Christian beliefs during an ecumenical prayer service, held once a month, that infuses gospel, spoken word poetry, and guitar/piano performances by students. Theology courses are a requirement each year at Holy Family Academy, with the senior year theology class focused on designing and launching a service learning project. Theology electives focused on ethics and world religion are also available to upperclassmen.
